Móstoles (Madrid), 30 June 2025 - Master Battery, a company specialising in the manufacture of batteries and energy storage systems, has been awarded the Business Award at the XXXIV edition of the City of Móstoles Awards, held at the Teatro del Bosque.
Organised by the Móstoles City Council, through Móstoles Desarrollo, these awards recognise excellence, talent and contribution to the economic and social development of the municipality. This year's edition reached an all-time record of participation, with 45 nominations submitted, consolidating it as a key annual event for the city's entrepreneurial and business ecosystem.
Recognition of local leadership and commitment
The evaluation committee awarded the prize to Master Battery for its outstanding track record in the energy storage sector, its constant growth, its commitment to sustainability and its positive impact on the local economy. This recognition is in addition to other recent awards, such as the Madrid 2024 SME of the Year Award, which reinforce its position as a benchmark in innovation and business commitment in Móstoles and the Community of Madrid.
‘A source of pride for Master Battery’
The co-CEO of Master Battery, Juan Carlos Hernández, thanked the Mayor of Móstoles, Manuel Bautista, and Ángeles García, third deputy mayor and councillor for Industry, highlighting that this award ‘is a source of pride for the whole company’. Hernández particularly valued ‘the close and proactive attitude of the mayor and his entire team, as well as their direct contact, their visits and their willingness to take an interest in the growth plans and needs of the business fabric of Móstoles’.
‘This award represents an endorsement of the work we have been carrying out at Master Battery and a sign of confidence in our commitment to Móstoles as an industrial, technological and strategic base. Here we find talent, institutional involvement and ideal conditions to continue growing and innovating’, he said.
He also underlined the company's commitment to public-private collaboration, with initiatives such as the Master Battery - Universidad Politécnica de Madrid Chair and the Ciudadenergía informative project, aimed at promoting innovation, technical training and social awareness of energy storage.

The gala was presided over by the Mayor of Móstoles, who highlighted the role of the business community in the progress of the municipality: ‘Móstoles is creativity, innovation, responsibility, determination and courage. And it is thanks to the important work of the business community. The level of the nominations shows that Móstoles is a great city with infinite possibilities, which combines such important qualities as entrepreneurship, leadership and excellence’.
