Master Battery is organising the 1st Ciudadenergía #inteligenciaverde Education Award to recognise teaching talent

  • Ms Berta Molina, a teacher at IES Antonio de Nebrija in Móstoles, has been awarded the 1st Ciudadenergía #inteligenciaverde Education Prize for her work in educational innovation and robotics.

  • Cristina Molina, Móstoles’ Councillor for Education and Culture, emphasised the importance of initiatives such as Ciudadenergía in inspiring new generations and bringing innovation, technology and sustainability into the educational sphere.

Ms Berta Molina, a teacher at IES Antonio de Nebrija in Móstoles, has received the 1st Ciudadenergía #inteligenciaverde Education Award, an initiative launched by Ciudadenergía and Master Battery to recognise teachers who, through education, contribute to building a more innovative and sustainable society that is prepared for the challenges of the energy transition.

The award ceremony was attended by Cristina Molina, Councillor for Education and Culture at Móstoles Town Council, and Juan Carlos Hernández, co-CEO of Master Battery, alongside representatives from the educational community, members of the school’s management team and numerous pupils who have taken part in the robotics projects developed by the teacher.

The selection of Berta Molina recognises her exemplary track record in educational innovation and the use of robotics as a learning tool. For years, she has spearheaded projects that have enabled hundreds of students to develop technological skills, creativity, teamwork and an interest in science and technology.

The event also highlighted the commitment of Ciudadenergía and Master Battery to education, scientific outreach and the promotion of knowledge about energy storage and renewable energy. Since 2022, Ciudadenergía has organised educational visits, outreach activities and partnerships with schools to introduce pupils and teachers to renewable energy, energy storage and the technologies driving the energy transition.

Juan Carlos Hernández highlighted the importance of strengthening collaboration between businesses, educational institutions and organisations to foster talent, innovation and STEM careers, emphasising that education is a key tool for building the future of energy.

Cristina Molina, Councillor for Education and Culture at Móstoles Town Council, brought the event to a close, emphasising the importance of education as a driving force for social transformation and highlighting that innovation, technology and sustainability are key to tackling the challenges of the future. The councillor also praised the commitment shown by Ciudadenergía and Master Battery to recognising talent and promoting education.

With this first edition, the Ciudadenergía #inteligenciaverde Education Award begins a journey that seeks to recognise teaching excellence and foster scientific and technological careers related to sustainability, renewable energy and energy storage.

Ciudadenergía and Master Battery are already working on future editions of this award, reaffirming their commitment to education, innovation and knowledge in the field of energy storage.

The event was attended by a large number of Berta Molina’s pupils at the IES Antonio de Nebrija in Móstoles, who wanted to be there to support her on this occasion.
